Design calculations ASTECHNIK

Comprehensive thermal and engineering calculations for heat exchange systems — provided as an independent engineering service. We use proprietary thermodynamic calculation tools as well as ANSYS FLUENT CFD software. We perform calculations for new designs, verification of existing installations and optimization of cooling systems — delivering full technical documentation with analysis results.

ADVANTAGES OF OUR SOLUTION

TECHNICAL APPLICATIONS

From concept to verified design — without technical risk at the implementation stage

Design of new heat exchange systems

Thermodynamic calculations and parameter selection for new heat exchangers and coolers — ensuring the device meets application requirements before it goes into production. Numerical verification in ANSYS eliminates the risk of technical issues during commissioning.

Verification and optimization of existing installations

Thermodynamic analysis of operating cooling systems in terms of efficiency, energy losses and optimization potential. Identification of causes of improper operation of a heat exchanger or cooler based on operational data and numerical simulations.

Calculations for special and non-standard projects

Engineering support for applications where standard selection methods are not sufficient — extreme operating conditions, aggressive media, limited installation space, or certification requirements that demand documented numerical analysis.

INDUSTRIES

USED IN, AMONG OTHERS, THE FOLLOWING INDUSTRIES

Defense industry and special-purpose vehicles

Computational support for projects requiring documented verification of thermal parameters prior to implementation — in accordance with the requirements of defense sector clients.

Energy and cogeneration

Calculations for heat exchangers and coolers in power plants, CHP plants and cogeneration systems — where calculation documentation is often required by regulations and industry standards.

Chemical and refinery industry

Thermodynamic analysis of process fluid cooling systems — taking into account the properties of aggressive liquids and process safety requirements.

Heavy industry and mining

Calculations for coolers of machines operating in extreme conditions — high ambient temperature, heavy dust exposure, and limited installation space.

WHY PERFORM CALCULATIONS BEFORE PRODUCTION?

An error at the design stage costs many times less than an error at the implementation stage.

A heat exchanger selected without full thermodynamic analysis may fail to meet application requirements — it may overheat the medium, generate excessive flow resistance, or simply not fit within the available installation space. Each of these situations leads to downtime, redesign, or equipment replacement — costs that are many times higher than the cost of initial design calculations. We perform calculations both for our own production and as an independent engineering service for clients who require design verification or computational support for their internal engineering teams.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

For standard applications, analytical calculations are often sufficient. We recommend CFD simulations for systems with complex geometries, operation in extreme environmental conditions, or when full numerical verification of flow and heat transfer is required before the production stage.
Yes — we provide independent computational verification of heat exchanger and cooling system designs. We perform an audit of the design assumptions and deliver a technical opinion supported by our own thermodynamic and numerical analyses.
We use proprietary thermodynamic calculators for analytical calculations, SolidWorks for 3D modeling, and ANSYS FLUENT for advanced CFD simulations and computational analysis.
