Coils

A coil is the simplest and at the same time one of the most reliable forms of a heat exchanger — a pipe wound into a spiral or serpentine shape, immersed in a medium or routed through a tank. The lack of complex connections and a minimal number of structural elements result in exceptional durability and resistance to harsh operating conditions. We manufacture coils from steel, copper, and stainless steel, tailored to the specific requirements of the application.

TECHNICAL APPLICATION

Heat exchange in its simplest and most reliable form

Heating and cooling of media in tanks

Coils immersed in process tanks, reactors, and vats — heating or cooling the medium without the need to circulate it through an external cooling system, with minimal interference in the tank’s structure.

Heat recovery systems in industrial installations

Coils as a heat exchanger element in installations where simplicity of design and resistance to contaminated media are more important than maximum heat transfer density — where other types of heat exchangers would be too sensitive to operating conditions.

High-pressure and high-temperature applications

Coils as heat exchangers in systems operating under extreme conditions — where a single continuous pipe without manifolds or joints is the only solution ensuring the required durability throughout the entire service life.

INDUSTRIES

USED AMONG OTHERS IN THE FOLLOWING INDUSTRIES

Power generation and district heating

Heating coils in water heaters and thermal storage tanks — as a simple and reliable heat exchange component in systems operating for thousands of hours without downtime.

Chemical and pharmaceutical industry

Coils for heating and cooling process media in reactors and mixing tanks — resistant to chemically aggressive liquids and vapors, with material selection tailored to the specific medium.

Marine and offshore industry

Coils for heating fuel, oil, and other media on ships and platforms — where simplicity of design and resistance to the marine environment are key operational requirements.

Food industry

Coils for heating, pasteurization, and cooling of media in fermentation vats, process tanks, and beverage production systems — manufactured from food-grade materials approved for contact with food.

WHY A COIL?

A replacement that fits — without modifications or compromises

Plate, finned, and shell-and-tube heat exchangers offer high heat transfer density — but each of them includes complex connections, gaskets, or brazed tube bundles that can become weak points under extreme operating conditions or with aggressive media. A coil has none of these weak points. A single continuous pipe — without manifolds, without seals, without tube bundles — withstands pressures and temperatures where other designs would require material compromises or frequent maintenance. That is why coils remain irreplaceable in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, and wherever the medium is aggressive and long-term reliability is non-negotiable.

FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Most often for heating or cooling a medium in a tank — a coil immersed in liquid or routed through a vessel transfers heat without the need to circulate the medium through an external system. They are also used as heat exchanger elements in high-pressure and high-temperature systems.
We work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper. Material selection depends on the properties of the working medium, temperature, and environmental conditions. For aggressive process media, we recommend stainless steel — please provide medium characteristics in your inquiry.
Yes — a single continuous pipe without manifolds or joints is structurally one of the most pressure-resistant solutions. It has no stress concentration points typical for headers and tube bundles found in other heat exchanger designs.
Yes — we design coils according to the specific tank dimensions, required flow, and thermal parameters. We select pipe diameter, coil pitch, and length based on application requirements.
Yes — with proper material selection. For highly aggressive media, we use stainless steel or other materials resistant to specific chemical agents. Please provide medium composition and properties in your inquiry.
