Bimetallic tubes are tubes made of two layers of different metals — each layer is responsible for different properties. In coolers, this allows the mechanical strength of steel to be combined with the improved thermal conductivity of the inner material, creating a product superior to a single-material solution in both aspects.
Welding creates a joint with strength close to that of the base material — significantly stronger than brazing. In practice, this means resistance to higher operating pressures, hydraulic shocks, and vibrations, without the risk of leakage at the joints characteristic of brazed coolers.
